Skatepark Design Services

Designing a Skatepark is a complicated task

A skatepark design goes far beyond the ramps. Not only does it have to reflect the skaters, their abilities and their hard work but it must also be affordable and work well for the chosen location of the Skatepark. Often, this is a very difficult compromise. On the one hand, the kids want a Skatepark… period. On the other hand, it has to be designed within the budget set forth by the City and the best use of the site.  A great Skatepark isn’t necessarily the most expensive but rather one that combines the best of all worlds.

Whether you’re designing a starter park for an existing tennis court or pouring a 20,000 square foot Skate Plaza, one thing remains the same; A Skatepark needs an experienced designer.  Small or large, wood, steel or concrete, temporary or permanent, the skaters of your City or Town deserve the best that they can have.

Not only has Who Skates recently celebrated 20 years designing and building Skateparks, Who Skates also brings to the table over 25 years of Commercial and Residential site work and construction experience including owning and operating our own Excavation and Site Work company. Experience that helps us keep your project on budget and on schedule the first time. Over 50% of skateparks designed in the United States go “back to the drawing board” due to unforeseen site requirements, construction estimates that come in over budget and Neighborhood groups who come out to voice their opposition to the project in the 11th hour. In nearly EVERY case, the information was available to the designer but was overlooked or disregarded completely. We’ve designed Parks on reclaimed landfills, schoolyards, stump dumps, abandoned mill sites, tennis and basketball courts, and even on solid rock.  Proper planning pays off.

At Who Skates, we consider every Skatepark to be an opportunity. Let us bring our experience and enthusiasm to work for you.
